I'm Monica Grueninger — a Creative Director and Art Director based in New York, working across campaign, content, and editorial. Available in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.

For five years I built the visual world at Retrofête. From concepting and directing 100+ shoots annually across campaigns, lookbooks, runway, ecomm, print, and every digital touchpoint. I led a full art team, managed production from brief through final delivery, and defined the brand's creative vision each season alongside the founder.

My aesthetic lives in the tension between editorial and minimal.  Images that feel considered and specific, not just beautiful. I care about building a visual language that's consistent enough to be recognizable and flexible enough to stay alive season to season.
